We explored, had lunch and did some kite flying! It was a perfect day!

New Addition to the Family!

We recently aquired a new family member! We got a dog!! This little guy was homeless along with his compainion(who is living just down the road now with my mom). My sister found them through one of her friends. Take a look at the picture of him and you'll see why we couldnt say no! He's just to cute!!! His name is Boomer, and we do not know how old he is. He so far seems to be really good. Still working on the cat vs dog issue, but that will come with time!

Update...Updated!!!! We've been robbed!!!!!!!!

Well- there was a bandit in the night, just yesterday on the fourth, our garden was
looking great! Mikayla and I go to do some watering this evening, and pretty much
all our garden is GONE!!! Broccoli-cant tell we even had any, Cucumbers-just a stem,
Cantalope-half gone, Cabbage-bare are can be! We were VERY disappointed!!!
All our hard work! :( there is thankfully still tomatoes, peppers, onions and eggplant.
That is if they survive through the night, untill I am able to make it to the store for some
fencing!! Mikayla thought well maybe we need a scarecrow. Her G.Grama Marj gave us one for
fall decoration, so now it is hanging on a pole in the garden!!!
Protecting what's left through the night!!
Here are some after pictures of the damage! We Live and Learn, now we know that
wer need to have fencing around our garden!
It even ate the cabbage out of the packaging
that I had not even planted yet!!
This is the same cucumber plant that is further down in this post!

Same cabbage from the picture below!

What's left of the broccoli

Well it did leave our beautiful peppers!!

It's been a while from our last post. No new pictures of Mikayla, but just an update on our farming that we are attempting. Mikayla has sooo enjoyed growing plants and veggies! She helped me dig up a garden and plant some veggies from seedling that we got at longfellows!

It was even more exciting to see them starting to produce! So here's a peek at what we have been up too.

Buttercrunch lettuce

Giant Marconi Pepper

Cucumbers

Cabbage(One of Mikayla's favorite)

Our Sunflowers See the post below how tiny they were!

Tomatoes

We have some more stuff too! Just not shown. So this is really the only exciting thing we have
done so far this summer. Hopefully we will get to do some more fun things to come! Like camping somewhere other than at our house, going to Fun Town/Splash Town, Story Land perhaps.... oh and the beach of course! We will keep you posted. I hope everyone else takes time to enjoy the summer.

Until next time....

Bad Bad Blogger!

I know, I know, it's been way too ling since I've posted last! Life has been great and busy!
Here are a few pictures of what what we have been up too!
Mikayla and I have planted a small garden, these pics are from ealier in the spring,
above is our sunflowers, and below is our buttercrunch lettuce. We also have a pumpkin
plant and several tomato plants. Everything is much bigger now. Hopefully we will do a update with pictures of how our garden looks now!
This yucky spider below, scared us to death one day when we were getting the bikes
out of the shed! He no longer live there now, if you get my drift. Just way too close to the house!

My little reader!
